As I posted yesterday, it is more common than not for fitness ''professionals'' or weight loss companies to dupe you into thinking that their product/service is effective by posting transformation pics that are not remotely indicative of the real progress that the person has made. By standing a certain way, using tanner, air brushing/photo editing, waist slimming apps, etc, it is VERY easy to go from ''fat'' to ''fit'' in a split second.
My ''before'' picture was taken yesterday and in this picture, I stood and pushed my stomach out as far as humanly possible, slouched, and scowled. I also had no tan, and was wearing my comfy and ultra saggy XL sweats.
My ''after'' picture is close to 3 years old. In this picture, while I look like I have made a dramatic transformation, I was much less fit than I am now, and my body fat percentage was actually 5-7%+ higher than it is in the very unflattering ''before'' picture. It was taken well before my rib issue had been diagnosed and I was in a tremendous amount of discomfort and hadn't been able to work out properly in YEARS, but I had a tan and was standing normally.
Bottom line, don't be fooled!! If something seems like it's too good to be true, or promises quick results, use your common sense and don't waste your time, money, or well-being on it. A healthy lifestyle takes time to develop, but reaps long term benefits, and is SO much easier to maintain than the BS diets or quick fixes that WILL fail. The chronic dieters/detoxers/cleansers are the only reason why the weight loss industry hasn't fizzled out.
